Undivided Attention is a 48" x 32" acrylic painting done on a 15/32" slice of Peruvian Radiata Pine sanded by hand, painted on, and sealed.
 
This artwork employs vibrant colors and imaginative figures to explore themes of perception and identity within relationships. It delves into the common disconnect where partners see not each other's true selves, but rather a constructed image that aligns with their own expectations. This misconception often obscures the genuine essence of the individual, leading to superficial connections that lack depth, symbolized here by a dividing river. Furthermore, the painting addresses broader themes of ego and self-representation, highlighting the contrast between what we reveal to our partners and what we keep hidden in the shadows.
